Hard Rock Café Dubai International Airport.
If you have 4 hours to kill at an absolutely manic Airport, then this is the place for you. I stopped off in Dubai for four hours on route to Johannesburg, I’m have to say, for the first time ever it wasn’t enough time in an airport.
Although slightly pricey, (having said that, nothing on the £40 beer and sandwich in Copenhagen Airport oh my previous trip east), it was worth every penny as this place had it all.
A huge screen playing great music videos, excellent food and drinks great atmosphere and really good friendly staff. Just the perfect place after a nine hour flight and before another 8 hour second leg to Johannesburg.
The staff were so friendly I had a beer at the Hard Rock Café in Sun City later on my trip, to say hello to one of the waiters friends who had recently moved there.
Next time I am travelling with a stop off in Dubai, I will certainly know where to go, unless of course the Emirates first class lounge offers me a complimentary. Great place.
