Legal Seafoods Boston MA

I heard Legal Seafoods was the place to go for seafood in the Boston area and wow what a recommendation that turned out to be.
Being a massive seafood fan, this place tops everything else in Boston. The menu was just heaven, shrimp, prawn, clams, oysters, chowder, scallops, you name it, it was there on the menu. You could even have a fish burger, not just a piece of fish in a burger roll, but you could choose your fish, salmon burger, lobster burger and the list goes on.
Being with my wife, the oysters were a great start, followed by the legendary chowder and obviously the big boy lobster, the lobster came in various sizes and the staff even gave you advice on how to break it up before eating. Being from a council estate in the north of England, not something I had previously come across.
Whenever I am in Boston, this place It’s always on the to do list.

Zizzi Worcester

Without doubt one of my favourite places to eat in Worcester. It’s great for a nice meal for 2 or equally as good for bringing the whole family. The menu is great with a good selection of starters, mains and stunning desserts however, what makes it for me is the fact there is something for everyone or every occasion. My kids love this place as does my wife “happy wife happy life”.
The staff are great, really friendly and attentive without being overbearing, the restaurant is well laid out with a great atmosphere.
The happy hour prices make this place a real bargain given the excellent quality of the food, however, even normal prices are reasonable.
Always top of my list when eating out in Worcester.

UFO Reštaurácia Bratislava Slovakia

Despite being modernised somewhat since my last visit, the UFO Reštaurácia is a pretty awesome place to enjoy a drink or a meal.
Situated 95 metres above the banks of the River Danube, the views of the city are spectacular. I visited and spent a fabulous evening here shortly before Slovakia swapped the Korunas for the Euro and it was ridiculously cheap compared to prices in my home city at the time, London.
So much so, on my visit there was only me and a large group of middle aged men in suits having what appeared to be a celebration of some kind, given the amount of champagne which was flowing. It was only the next day when having breakfast, I noticed the front page of a national Slovakian newspaper with pictures of the same men. I asked the waiter and it turned out this was most the government, obviously celebrating some kind of political victory. The closest I have ever been to the ruling classes……
As with many things in Slovakia, the UFO Reštaurácia has been modernised somewhat and it has now become part of the tourist trail with 35 Euro main course meals. I don’t think my whole night of food, drink and tip came to anywhere near half of that.
Still a fab place and well worth a visit even if just for a 5 Euro coffee, the views are worth it.

Hard Rock Café Dubai International Airport.

If you have 4 hours to kill at an absolutely manic Airport, then this is the place for you. I stopped off in Dubai for four hours on route to Johannesburg, I’m have to say, for the first time ever it wasn’t enough time in an airport.
Although slightly pricey, (having said that, nothing on the £40 beer and sandwich in Copenhagen Airport oh my previous trip east), it was worth every penny as this place had it all.
A huge screen playing great music videos, excellent food and drinks great atmosphere and really good friendly staff. Just the perfect place after a nine hour flight and before another 8 hour second leg to Johannesburg.
The staff were so friendly I had a beer at the Hard Rock Café in Sun City later on my trip, to say hello to one of the waiters friends who had recently moved there.
Next time I am travelling with a stop off in Dubai, I will certainly know where to go, unless of course the Emirates first class lounge offers me a complimentary. Great place.

Leos Oyster Bar San Francisco CA

You don’t call yourself an oyster bar if you oysters aren’t good, in this case, they have every right to the name as not just the oysters, but the food, drinks staff and the place in general was awesome. The décor won’t be to everyone’s taste but the food certainly will.
When a place is always busy and it’s difficult to get a table, there is normally a good and obvious reason for that and in this case it was because the oysters are off the charts, the food in general is really good it’s well worth trying something “different” from the drinks menu as you won’t be disappointed. San Francisco is a must for seafood lovers and Leos is pretty much as good as it gets. Don’t miss this one if you get the chance, see for yourself why it makes the top 5 in the Blindtraveller “oyster league”.

Colemans Seafood Temple South Shields

Colemans Fish and Chips have been a South Shields institution for almost 100 years now. The takeaway and restaurant on Ocean Road in the town centre, has had visitors from miles around since it opened.
The seafood Temple on the fabulous South Shields seafront is however, a relatively new addition and after years of negotiating with town planners, it’s finally here.
On the site of the old bandstand, the seafood temple is a glass fronted restaurant with stunning views out to sea. Equally as good are the award winning fish and chips. The oysters are simply superb and make the Blindtraveller “Oyster league” top 5.
On my last visit a few weeks back, the oysters were incredible and catapulted the restaurant up there with the best worldwide in the Oyster league table. It was not just the taste, or the finding no grit in all 2 dozen, but for me, the fact the that chef had totally removed the oyster from the shell and placed it back so I simply just had to add my tabasco and lemon and swallow straight from the shell. The fish and chips main course were great as always and a bottle of prosecco was reasonably priced.
Every time I am back in the North East this is on the must do list, really good food and exceptional value for money.

Tandoori International South Shields
This place has been the first choice for curry connoisseurs for many a year, whilst curry houses have come and gone on the famous South Shields restaurant row, the Tandoori International has stood the test of time. My recent trip with my mum was really pleasant. No longer just good food, but well presented good food, with knowledgeable and attentive staff. Still as good as it gets in the world of a great curry.

Hussar Grill Morningside Shopping Centre Johannesburg SA

A fabulous steak hose in Johannesburg. I had this on my places to eat list before arriving, and it was well worth the trip. The restaurant was very quiet when I visited which was a shame, however, the food was great and the wine list was awesome. I had one of the nicest glasses of Sauvignon Blanc ever, well a few actually and it was superb.
My 16 year old son who was with me, does not like a hint of fat on his steak so he went for the fillet. His face was an absolute picture when he tasted his steak, he still talks about the flavour of that one. Despite his age, he has been around the steak block a few times, apparently it was even better than his previous favourite, Longhorn. A recommendation in itself.

Rick’s on the River Tampa Fl

After a day in Busch Gardens with the family we headed for Rick’s on the River for dinner. A place you will never find by accident, as it is somewhat tucked away in not the nicest area of town, however we had a great time. Being English we sat outside over looking the river and after a long day in the park we should have sought air conditioning in the bar/restaurant area which had a great atmosphere, almost sports bar like.

Being in Florida oysters are a must and 12 soon became 24 as they were that good (Rick’s will be in my coming soon Top 5 best Oyster league). My wife had a few but I finished most before an OK fish dinner, forget the main course, the oysters and cold beer make this place the “must do” it is. Since my visit there is now an oyster bar, I will check that out on my next visit as I will definitely be back, great place….

If your thing is a friendly sport's bar with great food and happy hour beer all day, you've just found your nirvana. If however, you want a meal with the family outside on the terrace with views across a beautiful lake, then this is also the place for you.

I'm reluctant to tell of this place as I want it all for myself, that good. We first came here on Mothers Day about 4 years ago and "mom's eat free", we have been many times since, just a great sports bar with a family twist in a great location.

Love this place....

I have been going to the USA for many years now however, it begs the question,

"does it get any better than a Longhorn Steak".

I love the food the ambience, the staff are great and it's great value.
More importantly, the kids love it and it's quite simply a go to restaurant to save any argument.
I have had great food ans service across the US however, the San Antonio Tx is pretty awesome ( 7439 San Pedro Ave San Antonio, TX 78216).

Its certainly my favourite, Crystal restaurant 522 Holloway Rd, London N7 6JP.

I have been going here for years having lived locally for many years. Having since moved away, every time I am back in London I have a sit down in the seated area at the back of the shop. Great food, well priced and a popular stop off.

A fabulous cafe on Morecambes famous old promenade. The cafe has a music theme with a great range of music memorabilia, lots of it for sale. The reason to come here however, is the food, a great selection but the freshly cooked breakfast is to die for. Go for the bigger breakfast and it comes with black pudding and spam, yes spam.

Out walking with your dog, not a problem, dogs are welcome and they also eat free. Freshly cooked sausage for your dog...

A real gem in a great location.

I just happened to be passing Pinchers Restaurant in Lakewood Ranch Fl and noticed happy hour was about to start. $1 Oysters, clams, and prawn along with 2-4-1 on all drinks, my wife driving, what a great way to spend a sunny afternoon in Florida.

Great place, great food and excellent, friendly staff, this place is on my must do list every time I visit Florida.

Being a regular to the Sheraton Vistana Resort in Orlando Florida, I came across this little gem as it was simply the closest place to the resort, just outside the main gates.

I like a walk and often a beer or 2 once we are back from the parks whilst my wife and children are relaxing. This is just the place, late afternoon happy hour beers, great food, the Calypso Seafood Rice Bowl is superb and the staff are so friendly. I played in a golf tournament in Orlando last year (wife no kids), and after the event my wife needed to do some shopping. No no no shopping, to stop me moaning she dropped me off here for the afternoon, sheer bliss.........

Great place the staff make it.....

Another great family restaurant in Orlando Florida. Not a big waffle fan however, I have had some great meals and my wife and children love this place.

If you like a twist on chicken, or any other food type for that matter, this is the place for you .We have been here many times mostly for breakfast and despite always being busy we have never been let down, the food and service has always been great.
