The Kittocks Golf Course, Fairmont St Andrews, Fife, Scotland
Having played many great courses in Scotland this has to be one of my favourites as the scenery is simply stunning. The lesser known of the 2 courses,on the fabulous Fairmont Resort the Kittocks course is outstanding. The clubhouse is very welcoming as is the pro shop with a range of high quality merchandise. When you get onto the course and on your way down the first, its only you, the golf, and the fabulous landscape.
The views from the seventh fairway over the fife coastline are brilliant, however even this is eclipsed by the 15th green which almost hangs over the clifftop looking out to sea. The amenities at the clubhouse are superb, and this is before you step into the resort hotel with a wide range of facilities from restaurants to swimming pools.
I will certainly be back to the Fairmont St Andrews resort, and might even play the Torrance course if I have the time, after another round on the stunning Kittocks course.
